Aqua Pennsylvania Utility Improvement to Close Whitford Road in Uwchlan and West Whiteland Townships

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that Aqua Pennsylvania will perform water main construction on Whitford Road in Uwchlan and West Whiteland townships, Chester County, beginning Monday, June 16.  

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

Monday, June 16, through Wednesday, December 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Whitford Road will be closed weekdays between Huffman Drive and Devon Drive. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway), Route 100 (Pottstown Pike), and Route 113 (Uwchlan Avenue). 

Local access will be maintained. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent. 

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
