The ramp from eastbound U.S. 30/Exton Bypass to northbound U.S. 202 is scheduled to close in East Whiteland and West Whiteland townships, on Thursday, August 17, and Friday, August 18, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning for overhead bridge construction, as part of the final phase of the U.S. 202 Section 300 improvement project, which includes the rehabilitation of two U.S. 202 bridges over Amtrak rail lines, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
During the overnight ramp closure, motorists will be detoured to the Business U.S. 30 exit, right on eastbound Business U.S. 30 and right onto the ramp to northbound U.S. 202.
Prior to the closure, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, there will be lane restrictions on the ramp from eastbound U.S. 30/Exton Bypass to northbound U.S. 202.
Eastbound U.S. 30 motorists should expect backups and slow moving traffic when approaching the ramp to northbound U.S. 202.
Northbound U.S. 202 motorists will also encounter a right lane closure between the Boot Road and Route 401 interchanges on Thursday, August 17, and Friday, August 18, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning for bridge reconstruction.
During the lane closure, northbound U.S. 202 motorists will not have access to the exit ramp to U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue). The detour will direct northbound U.S. 202 motorists to continue to the Route 401 (Conestoga Road) Interchange and turn right onto Route 401 (Conestoga Road) to reach U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue).
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
