  Weston Solutions Inc. employee, Charles Young, demonstrates how to plant a tree at the Make a Difference Day at Exton Park. Over 1000 trees and shrubs have been planted by volunteers to form a riparian buffer.  A riparian buffer is a vegetated area, usually forested, that serves as a buffer zone for a stream from adjacent land uses. Tips and Tricks for Park/ Trail Safety, Comfort and Respect

  • Stay on the Path/Trail -Safe, easy, and the best way to experience the park.
  • Know the Area - Check the trail maps throughout the park
  • Dress Appropriately - this area has wetlands that are seasonally wet. Wear the proper clothing and foot ware. (More..)
  The Church Farm School placed great importance on this land for both practical use as well as character building for its students. Nowadays there is still some leased farming going on that requires a lot of work. Please refrain from interfering in any way with the farmland. This is an active farming operation. (More..)
 

 

Over 185 species of birds have been sighted within (or above) the 700 plus acres of Exton Park. Nearly half are wetland dependant; many are uncommon or rare for Chester County; twelve are at risk nationally. The quality of the park's wetland habitat is exceptionally rare. Enjoy its birds.  Ship Road Park Paths and Butterfly Garden

   A butterfly garden and bluebird nesting box trails were installed at Ship Road Park in 2010. (More..)

 Boot Road Park Paved Path, Overlook Path, and Butterfly Garden

  Boot Road Park is home to a .58 mile paved path and the Overlook Path. The Overlook Path is a primitive trail into the woods at Boot Road Park. Residents are encouraged to enjoy all of the park.
