The Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corporation (Transco) has planned a 10.6 mile expansion project from Caln, East Brandywine, East Caln, West Whiteland and East Whiteland townships.  The work had been planned to be completed in 2008 as one project.  West Whiteland Township has been notified that the work will occur in two phases. The first 5.6 mile section between Balmoral Drive in Caln and the westerly section of McIlvain Drive in East Caln is now planned to be constructed during the spring and summer of 2008.  The second phase, between the westerly section of McIlvain Drive in East Caln and Bacton Hill Road in East Whiteland is proposed to be constructed in the spring and summer of 2009.
