Have an interest in local history, genealogy or historic preservation? Working with West Whiteland Township's Historical Commission can give you the opportunity to put those interests and/or skills to practical use. At our monthly meetings and periodic site visits we have the opportunity to study and review just about anything happening to or around the hundreds of historic resources located throughout our Township. Working with our consultants, we make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors and the Planning Commission on plans which may impact the Township's historical resources. Additionally, we share our knowledge and resources with owners of historic resources, in an effort to protect and preserve West Whiteland's historic character. We also maintain a current survey of the Township's historic resources, and review and update their condition on an annual basis.
