The property owner must then file the Certificate of Re-occupancy with the Codes Department 10 days prior to a new tenant occupying the rental unit, unless exempt under section 250-11 of the rental ordinance.

Owners of multi-unit residential properties must schedule an annual inspection of not fewer than 25% of the dwelling units located on the multi-unit residential property.
