Real Estate Tax Bills

  • Mailed to property owners on February 1 of each year.
  • Pay by March 31 to get a 2% discount
The tax bill is computed by multiplying the tax rate, set by the Board of Supervisors of West Whiteland Township, with the assessed value of the property. The assessed value is determined by the Bureau of Assessments, a County Government Agency.

Please note, if you escrow funds with your mortgage lender, then your lender may pay your Township real estate tax from those funds.  Check with their lender if you are not sure.

Your tax payments go into the Township's general fund budget, which is allocated to maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Township. Services such as park maintenance, snow removal, street resurfacing and salaries are just a few examples of how your tax dollars are spent.
